Since mid-2013, PostFinance has held a banking licence. As of 2013, data relating to PostFinance are reported under "Banks". For consistency reasons with the revised red book methodology, 2012 data relating to PostFinance are not shown in this time series. In 2012, the number of PostFinance's branches and offices, including post offices and agenies of Swiss Post that offered payment services, was 2,226, the number of accounts 4,549 thousand, the value of accounts CHF 99,160 million. 11  2017: Improvement of data quality due to entities' adjustments of their reporting practice.
