 1 Total number of cards irrespective of the number of functions on the card. 2 Prepaid cards are included. Until Q1 2018 data on payment card by function (i.e credit and debit function) is estimated based on information provided by the Spanish card payment schemes. Since then the data is reported by the PSPs adhered to the Spanish card payment schemes, according to the EU Regulation 2015/751 3 Credit cards are included. It is not possible to differentiate between delayed debit and credit cards. However, it is known that the bulk of the payments are made with delayed debit cards.
